Red Velvet

Red velvet. That pretty much sums up this post. Not that I felt that much like a cake, but I was super excited to e wearing my new American Apparel velvet skirt out. I had been coveting it for a while. I loved the texture and the little flare that the skirt has to it. It was gifted to me by my boyfriend as a Christmas present… aww. This is actually a post of news because this shirt is also one from my Nasty Gal package. It was titled the “In Chains” blouse, which I think is pretty accurate. I instantly fell in love with the glittery collar. Throw that in with a pair of Bordeaux thigh-highs and I was feeling pretty reminiscent of my figure skating days…

heart 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 heart There was actually an occasion for all of this sparkle, though there never has to be. I was strolling the streets downtown, looking at all of the new shops that have popped up. We finally have an Anthropolgie and Kate Spade here, hooray! Also Juicy Couture was having a huge sale and sitting on the rack was a plaid, studded-collared shift dress that I have been coveting for a year. If you haven’t seen their collection from last year, it can be most easily descried as school girl-chic. Lots of plaid, collars, paisley silk dresses… like a dream. Anyway I have been stalking this particular dress and it was on sale and I think I ran out of air for a moment. My lovely mom bought it for me along with a few cute things for herself and i fell asleep dreaming of tweed and pleated skirts.
